Priory Life

The Priory of St. Isidore Catholic Church, like all priories of the Society of St. Pius X in the United States, answers directly to the US District House.

Under the direction of Fr. Paul Robinson, the priests who reside here at St. Isidore's devote themselves to providing for the spiritual needs of any interested local Catholics, especially the faithful attending SSPX chapels.

The rule of the Society of St. Pius X states that its goal is essentially apostolic: it exists to save souls. Its founder, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, desired that the Society achieve this goal chiefly by the sanctification of priests, its own priestly members first of all.

The priests of St. Isidore's Priory maintain the following schedule:

  • First Mass - 5:30 a.m.
  • The Office of Prime - 6:30 a.m.
  • Morning Meditation - 6:45 to 7:10 a.m.
  • The Office of Sext - 12:15 p.m.
  • Lunch -12:30 p.m.
  • Rosary - 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner - 6:00 p.m.
  • The Office of Compline - 8:45 p.m.
